According to the HIV Republican Center, as on May 1, 2014 about 5,337 cases of HIV infection are registered in Kyrgyzstan, the press Secretary of the Ministry of Health Care of the KR Anarbek Alimakhunov said.
According to him, Kyrgyz delegation will participate in the IV Conference on HIV/AIDS issues in Eastern Europe and Central Asia on May 12-13 in Moscow (Russia). "In 2012, Russia has allocated special funds to assist the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus in the fight against HIV/AIDS in 2013-2015. The meeting will present the first results of the project, as well as master classes on various aspects of prevention and treatment of disease," the press secretary said.
"According to one of the participants, the Deputy Minister of Health Care of the KR Marat Kaliyev, in the framework of the conference, a very important event to the Kyrgyz side will be held - the handing of the vehicle for HIV infections and venereal survey in groups at high risk. Car based on KamAZ - is a mobile laboratory with a gynecologist and dermatologist's office, where the survey will be conducted. It will be used together with existing in the republic mobile medical center with the advantage of working in remote areas of the country," the statement informs.
