The Federal Government of Nigeria have been urged to procure an indegenous solution to the issue of Human Immune Virus and Acquired Immune Defficiency Syndrome HIV/AIDS in the country.
This report was released by U-Report, a free UNICEF SMS-based platform that allows individual give an account of what's happening in thier community on issues that regards the welfare of the people.
According to UNICEF, "about 140 million of those who responded to the U-report's poll advised the government to produce home-made drugs and test kits to treat people living with HIV/AIDS.
In addition to the above finding, another 72% of those who took part in the pool (U-reporters) explained that HIV/AIDS must be eliminated for Nigeria to prosper, and about 75% of the respondents said they think that the government should spend more money to control the menace of HIV/AIDS and in the country.
