Background

This research will establish a research advisory board consisting of policy makers at national level (NAC, Ministry of Health, bilateral and multilateral Donors), International Development Partners, Researchers, Civil Society Organizations and Key Affected Populations. The board is designed to provide guidance and direction for the research in order to meet research objectives and to strengthen possible utilization of the research findings in policy developement.

Purpose

Establishment of the advisory board is aimed to:

• Provide perspectives on strategic issues related to current HIV/AIDS policy and programming, guidance on research design, oversee the research process, and feedback on research findings.
• Facilitate key stakeholder's engagement in the research in order to support research process and the buying-in process of the research findings in the policy development.
