A cure for HIV/AIDS is the ultimate goal of rapidly advancing research involving diverse and innovative approaches. A comprehensive collection of articles describing the broad scope and current status of this global effort is published in a special issue ofAIDS Research and Human Retroviruses.
In the Commentary "How to Cure AIDS: Feeling the Elephant", Guest Editor David Margolis, MD, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, states, "The breadth and diversity of reports found in the issue reflect the many domains of investigation that must be brought to bear to solve challenges of persistent HIV infection, and provide one of the critical missing tools needed to end the worldwide AIDS pandemic."

The goodwill ambassador feels that HIV AIDS is a disease that India is fighting against for quite some time now.The Singham star said, “Today the scenario is very different. Our experience has taught us that effective social marketing targeting includes a clear understanding of four key components. These four components cover: (1) the behavior you are trying to solicit; (2) barriers to behavior change for the population you want to engage; (3) how the population may change that desired behavior; and (4) the medium you will use to deliver your message.
Social media is often an appealing medium but we must ensure that we are using this tool to effectively reach Latinos and increase HIV/AIDS awareness. For example, when embarking on the use of social media for National Latino AIDS Awareness Day 2014 (NLAAD), we needed to first understand which particular segments of the Latino population were using social media platforms and how they were using them.
The features of each platform also informed how we crafted particular messages. For example, Twitter has a 140-character limit (or 120, once you allocate 20 characters for re-tweeting), and Instagram has a 15-second limit on videos.

TRIBUNJOGJA.COM, YOGYA - Frisian Flag Indonesia menerima penghargaan dari Gubernur Jawa Barat karena telah menjadi mitra Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS (KPA) Kota Bandung dalam kegiatan pencegahan HIV AIDS. Penyerahan penghargaan ini dilakukan di Gedung Sate, Bandung pada 22 Desember 2014 silam.
Head of Corporate Affairs Frisian Flag Indonesia, Andrew F. Saputro mengatakan bahwa penghargaan ini akan lebih memacu perusahan untuk terus berkomitmen dan memberikan kontribusi nyata akan permasalahan yang terkait dengan HIV AIDS di Indonesia.

Kepala lembaga advokasi HIV/AIDS ternama mengatakan 2015 adalah tahun penuh peluang besar dan tantangan berat dalam menanggulangi wabah yang sudah berlangsung 35 tahun dan menjangkiti lebih dari 30 juta orang.
Mitchell Warren mengatakan, tantangan memasuki tahun baru 2015 adalah bagaimana temuan-temuan ilmiah terbaru bisa diterapkan. Warren adalah direktur pelaksana AVAC, yang menurutnya, "bertujuan mempercepat pengembangan etika dan penyampaian secara global, terhadap cara-cara pencegahan HIV, sebagai bagian dari tanggapan yang menyeluruh."
